Over here, there are still some warmer days of fall left – days when one can put on a romper and pretend that summer is still going strong. The leaves haven’t changed color yet – in fact everything is still bright and green – so it’s still summer right? We haven’t even changed the clocks yet for Daylight Savings – that’s when you know winter is coming. This lipstick print romper DVF dress, that I got for a total steal at T.J. Maxx, reminds me of the YSL lipstick print wrap dress that was so popular a while back.
There are a few things that make this romper wearable for fall–its darker colors, long sleeves, and slightly thicker fabric. Look for these qualities when shopping for a romper that can transition between seasons. Think darker, more striking patterns than summery floral prints, and thicker cottons over silks. You could also easily layer a sweater over this romper.
I usually tend to avoid rompers just cause of the hassle involved when you are going out and about in your day. But this one has such a cute print, that I couldn’t resist.
