Happy Thursday dearest readers! Today’s post is a review of Dior’s Ultradior 765 nail polish that came out earlier this year. I’m wearing two coats of the nail polish in the picture above, along with a clear Seche Vite top coat.
I would best describe the shade as sorbet pink with slight orange undertones. It reminds me of lollipops in candyshops that one might frequent as a child. That or the lipgloss you used as a teenager in high school. You know the one.
That being said, it’s not a particularly neutral shade. It’s very girly. Think Barbie’s hot car girly.
This nail polish would probably look best with two or even three coats, as the color falls on the more translucent side. Even with two coats on, you can see how translucent the color still is in the picture above. The nail polish is very easy to apply – I’m a big fan of Dior’s wide brushes. In terms of how long it can last, it hasn’t chipped yet in four days, but I think the topcoat helped in that regard. Definitely use a topcoat to prolong the length of this nail polish.
It’s not one of my favorite shades, as it can bring out the orange tones in your hands, which is not particularly flattering for me. It is quite fun and flirty – though I would probably only wear it in the spring or summertime. It would be perfect for the beach or to take with you on vacation.
